What type of computer hardware do we need?

Any computer running a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) will work fine. It is suggested that for your servery a minimum 19" touchscreen monitor be employed for ease of use by servers.


We don't have an IT department. Is it difficult to set-up/ install ?

No.
Being web based, any working computer with an internet connection will work. If you need any assistance we are available to help.


Do we need a separate licence for each computer and/or user?

No. You may have as many users, on as many machines as you wish. You can even access remotely (home, alternate location) if your company policy allows it.


We are a small Long Term Care home. Is this affordable for us?

Out fee structure is based on number of residents in your home, therefore small homes do not pay big costs to implement Point of Servicing.


Does Point of Servicing connect (import/export) to Point Click Care?

No. Point Click Care does not allow any outside software to access their database.

Our terms are for a one year agreement, renewable annually.


What if the internet goes down?

We encourage homes to either periodically print a hard copy or pdf of residents charts for a binder in the unlikely case of internet inaccessibility.


Can you log in remotely ?

Yes. Provided that your company policy allows for remote access. Remote access can be granted on a per user basis.


Can anyone make changes ?

User access is restricted to a security level. You can create, edit, read, delete records in various areas based on your security level. That is, usually staff can only read, while managers can manipulate residents' records.


Can other departments besides Dietary use Point of Servicing?

Yes. Most of all Point of Servicing is a communication tool. We encourage as many staff as possible to partake in the system.
